ABOUT ZOA

Born and based in Atlanta, Georgia, Zoa is a visual artist whose practice is rooted in presence and storytelling. Working primarily through lens-based mediums, she creates collaborative spaces where the act of being seen becomes both subject and process. Her work examines how co-creation shapes connection, invites transformation, and reveals the power of human presence.

Drawing from photographic anthropology, portraiture, and editorial traditions, Zoa’s work blurs the lines between personal narrative and collective experience. Her images often emerge through improvisation and dialogue, embracing vulnerability as a catalyst for discovery. Over time, her practice has crystallized into a commitment to bold, authentic expression, carrying forward a fearlessness that deepens with each body of work.

At the core of her practice is an exploration of what it means to witness and to be witnessed. Through this lens, Zoa positions photography not simply as image-making, but as a relational act, one that holds space for transformation, both subtle and profound.
